Who we are
ekili is an app of short vertical clips where people show what they can offer. Contact: contact@ekili.app.
What we collect
- Account: a random account identifier created on your phone (no email or phone number is required).
- Profile: the name, profession, place and seller type you enter, your confirmation that you are 18+ and the version of the terms you accepted.
- Clips: the videos and thumbnails you publish, with their title, service, price and place.
- Approximate location: only if you allow it, rounded on the phone to about 1 km, used for the “Near” filter.
- Activity: likes, blocks, messages you send and receive, reports and verification requests.
- Network address: used only in hashed form to limit the number of new accounts per network per day (anti-abuse).
Why we use it
To run the service: show clips, deliver messages, filter by distance and day, prevent abuse and moderate reported content.
Who sees it
Your profile and published clips are public in the app and on clip links you or others share. Messages are seen only by the two people in the conversation. A report about a person reaches a moderator without the messages. Data is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, under its data processing terms. We share nothing with advertisers.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. The account key is stored on the server only as a hash.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your clip or your account. Deleting the account removes your profile, clips, likes and messages immediately. Clips marked “Today” disappear from the feed at midnight.
Your rights
In the app: long press › My account lets you edit your profile, download your data (JSON) and delete your account. You can also write to contact@ekili.app to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to processing. You may complain to your data protection authority.
Children
ekili is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
When this policy changes, the app asks you to accept the new version.
